Acts of Kindness

The Chesed (Acts of Kindness) series is EKS's way of reaching out to the greater community. Our current volume, Give Me Your Hand , details the Jewish practice of visiting the sick. This summer we will release the second item in this line, a guide to Taharah. Each booklet in the Chesed series details one Jewish mitzvah, and we hope that these publications will encourage people to participate in a broad range of Jewish life. Each year, we donate a portion of the proceeds from the Chesed line to charity. In the past two years, EKS has made contributions to a northern California hospice, a breast cancer research fund, and Doctors without Borders, an international relief organization.
